Type of vessel
The Yacht Sweet Waters is a 14 meter Full Keel GRP Ocean Going Ketch that has excellent sea handling capability and sails with superb precision. The interior is finished in teak and rare yellow wood, obtained from first class South African railway coaches and famous old hotels from the elegant bygone era in Durban. The result is a vessel with a superbly romantic "olde worlde" atmosphere saturating her four cabins, the spacious saloon, convertible cockpit and comfortable heads. Add to that the interesting history of the vessel and the uniqueness of this yacht cannot be overstated.

She has a Passenger Vessel safety certificate issued by the South African Maritime Safety Authority for 20 persons in the Richards Bay Harbour. Sweet Waters is currently the only charter yacht taking people around Richards Bay harbour. Dr. Izak Labuschagne is the skipper of the vessel being certified A11 (1) for up to 100 ton vessels.

Charter Operations
Sweet Waters was launched at the small craft harbour slipway and within a week Port Sail Charters kicked off with a roaring trade on the 3rd of December 2005. The charter operation is busy penetrating the local business market and also collaborating with the National Ports Authority and some of the big business entities in order to provide educational tours for the local schools. The fact that those business that have responded keep coming back bodes well indeed. The guest book of the yacht Sweet Waters has always made good reading and it has just got even better what with most big business, the authorities, politicians famous musicians and even royalty having already sung her praises in it. Go to the Charters offered tab and then book the charter of a lifetime through the order form now. You wont regret it!
