What Everyone Should Know about Roman and Hebrew CALENDARS!
ROMAN Calendar
Ever heard Brother Stair say "Don't overlook the obvious." This is most certainly true as we investigate the accuracy of our Roman Calendar. It may surprise you to find the truth that our calendars are precisely accurate.
You've probably heard it said over and over by many prophecy gurus that no one can know the exact times, the day nor hour, the year etc. because our calendar could be up to 50 years off base. They are lying, and they are lying to hedge their poor date setting and total lack of discernment. Or they are just plain ignorant.
Here is how you may test to find that our understanding of the calendar is precisely accurate.
The prophet Jeremiah prophesied a punishment upon Israel of 70 years, to be served in Babylonian captivity. The punishment began in 606 B.C.
The prophet Ezekiel, during the captivity, prophesied that it would be extended an additional 390 years. The additional punishment began in 536 B.C.
A small portion of Israel repented and returned to the land of Israel, but most preferred the pagan society of conquered Babylon. Due to the unrepentant nature of Israel at the time, and the fact that most did not even desire to return to the land of Israel at the end of the first 70 years (Jeremiah 25:11), they heaped upon themselves even more punishment. First, an extension of 390 years (Ezekiel 4:3-6), and that was multiplied because of the Torah's requirement to increase the final punishment by 7 times. Lev 26:18 And if ye will not yet for all this hearken unto me, then I will punish you seven times more for your sins.(Also see Leviticus 26:21, 24, & 28).
The remaining 390 years would now be multiplied 7 times! The additional punishment would now end in A.D. 1948
The first 70 years began on the first day of the Babylonian month of Nissan and ended on the first day of Nissan. So the remaining 2485 years also began on the first day of Nissan 536 B.C.
2485 years or, 2521 prophetic years (360 days each) is a total of 907,560 days. With the 'wonder of addition' we arrive at the date of May 14, 1948. Anyone over the last 2000 years could have known the exact day this prophecy was going to be fulfilled - but it was only revealed to us in these last times. On that exact date Israel was miraculously restored it's nation status once the prescribed time was completed.
Isa 66:7 Before she travailed, she brought forth; before her pain
came, she was delivered of a man child.
Isa 66:8 Who hath heard such a thing? who hath seen such things? Shall the
earth be made to bring forth in one day? or shall a nation be born at once? for
as soon as Zion travailed, she brought forth her children.
Read the original headlines of that day in the commemorative edition of the Palestine Post!
If our calendar was even one day off, this prophecy would have missed the mark! But we know exactly what time it is! To the very day!
This also means we can know the exact day of Messiah's birth, death, and resurrection. We also know when Daniel's 70th week would begin and end. The bible prophets are dead-on-accurate and so is our discernment of the times.
If our calendar is correctly understood in relation to bible prophecy, and May 14th, 1948 was the fulfillment of the times of desolation of Israel - then we know that Daniel's 70th week, the last seven years of history, would be the last seven of six thousand years as outlined in the scriptures.
By adding up the ages of the patriarchs and historically verified periods in the scriptures we know that after October 1st, 2000 - six thousand years will have come to an end. Within days after that date, the Hebrew new year will begin for the 6001th year from creation.
What that means is Daniel's 70th week was expected to begin on the first day of Babylonian month 'Tishri' in 1993 with the signing of a 7 year (peace & safety) covenant with Israel.
That 7 year (peace & security) covenant with Israel was signed on September 13th, 1993 and ends on October 1st, 2000!!!
Now if our calendars are correct would we not have expected the abomination that causes desolation to occur exactly 3.5 years later, say on March 13th, 1997? Guess what? It did occur exactly on that date - but the prophecy gurus won't tell you that!
The tribulation began on March 13th, 1997 - but did not manifest!
What are we talking about? We knew that the tribulation would begin counting down in March of 1997 - and that at the same time it would not openly manifest. How did we know to expect this? For the simple reason that Yeshua Messiah promised to cut back the number of days the great tribulation would be manifested. He told us so on the Mount of Olives (Mat 24:22 And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened.)
The last 2000 years...
It was the Roman year 754 and Hebrews everywhere were preparing to celebrate 4000 years since BERESHITH (the beginning of time). Daniel's prophecy of 70 weeks had seen 64.5 of them fulfilled by then. The Roman Emperor Augustus made an unprecedented decree to perform the first global census. Quirinius, Roman Governor of Syria, was enjoying his second term in office. Herod was living out his last days as 'King of the Judah' and Roman appointed governor of Palestine.
The events of this year would be recorded by Roman and Hebrew historians alike. The Roman records would be sent to Rome where they were archived. Many of those 2000 year old documents are still there today. These records of the census were read and referred to by Justin Martyr then Eusibius. They were also there in Rome (in greater condition and volume) in the sixth century. A Catholic abbot named Dionysius Exiguus felt convicted that the calendar year title should give honor to the Messiah and not to the Roman Empire. In his research to determine the beginning of this 'Christian Age' he accessed those records in Rome.
He found that the great Census was ordered in The Roman year 754 in which Messiah was born. He therefore set this year to zero. This is why today's date reads 1998 and not 2752. It was so well established historically and mathematically that the designation of preceding years 'B.C.' (before Christ) was not even entertained for yet another 1000 years! In fact, still today there is no absolute scientific, mathematical, or historical reason to consider any other year for the birth of Messiah other than 1 B.C. or Dionysius' year zero.
In all accounts of changes made to our calendar from Julian times the total amount of corrections certainly falls very short of a single year in length - excluding Julian's first year, only a few days difference exists. Besides that they were CORRECTIONS not errors - thus making the current system very precise.
We know that their corrections were justified and 'correct' because of the confirmation we can derive from the rebirth of the nation of Israel by a known prophecy and the beginning of Daniel's 70th week and the abomination in the midst thereof.
Here is more absolute proof!
No historian can truthfully deny that Tiberius Caesar became the Roman Emperor on August 19th, A.D. 14. This is an unbreakable rock solid historical fact and calculation. Luke tells us that Yeshua Messiah began His ministry in the "fifteenth year of the reign of Tiberius Caesar" and that He was almost 30 years old!
That is a clear statement that Yeshua Messiah was born in the year 'zero' (1 B.C.) The Feast of Tabernacles was just a matter of weeks away - and if Messiah was born on the Feast of Tabernacles 1 B.C. then he was about to turn 30 years old!
Still need more proof?
Post 16th century astronomers made inaccurate conclusions about the number of lunar eclipses occurring around 1 A.D. Because of their crude methods and instruments they only discovered one eclipse in 4 B.C. Modern methods prove that there were several lunar eclipses. Why is this important? Because the only reason the birth year of Yeshua Messiah was moved back was to match 'current knowledge' to the records of Flavius Josephus who said Herod died during a lunar eclipse in an unspecified year of Roman rule. Herod could of died in the year/s following Messiah's birth A.D. 1-4 when several lunar eclipses occurred - however this 4 B.C. error perpetuates today. If that date were correct then Messiah should have returned in the fall of A.D. 1996! But because He did not we know the 4 B.C. date to be false.
The final nail...
We already established that Yeshua's ministry began in A.D. 28. Six months later at Passover in A.D. 29 The Jews questioned Yeshua, "It took forty six years to build this House, and you will raise it up in three days?" The Herod's Temple (reconstruction or remodeling of the 2nd Temple) started construction 46 years earlier in 18 B.C. Flavius Josephus appealing to Hebrew records in Jerusalem confirms that temple reconstruction began at that time. This reinforces the historical fact of a 30 year old Messiah in A.D. 29 whose birth was in 1 B.C..
So please don't tell us that no one knows what year it is. We know. You do too!
Hey wait a minute.
Just in case you might be thinking that Messiah will come on January 01, 2000. Forget it - it won't happen. Even by Catholic standards the millennium does not actually begin until 2001. Look to the fall Feasts when the 6001st Hebrew new year begins in the Common Era of Fall 2000. It is the Feast of Trumpets that no one can know the day or hour of in advance. One of the biggest guffaws of all time will be the pooh-poohing of the Messiah's no-show return on the world's new year celebration. They will conclude that they have passed the critical date and throw caution and knowledge out the window. Many Christians will be humiliated because of their ignorance. Some will fall into despair and lose their faith. That is when statements like "since our forefathers...", will reach an all time climax. But beware that "...if the servant had known at what time the thief was coming..."
There's Nothing Wrong
With The Roman Calendar
but the Hebrew Calendar has a 240 Year Error!
HEBREW Calendar
Many have asked why doesn't the Hebrew calendar reflect that we are almost at the very end of 6000 years of prophesied biblical history.
The current Hebrew calendar reads the year from Adam as 5759
instead of 5999. Also Zola Levitt gave the following statements in a recent
prophecy conference. He said "In addition, most Bible commentators agree
that Adam was born about 6,000 years ago. If we assume that he was born in
exactly 4000 B.C. on our calendar, then we have spent 5,998 years to the
present day. (We deduct one year when adding A.D. years to B.C. years since 1
B.C.
and 1 A.D. were the same year.) What we now call 1999 is really 5998.
There is a difference of 240 years!
So how did the Hebrew scribes include such an error in their date keeping? The fact is that they deliberately lied and altered the times to despise Yeshua Messiah! Even the Jewish Encyclopedia admits to the 240 year error; however, the listed source of the error is subject to question as we shall soon see.
After Yeshua Messiah had ascended to His Father, the spread of His followers in the faith grew steadily to the great displeasure of the Pharisees. They sought every opportunity to disprove and slander Yeshua's Messiahship.
An alternative Messiah was found...
The Pharisees were looking for a hero, conquering Messiah, a charismatic military leader to free them from Roman rule. Along came such a man named Bar Kokhba, in A.D. 132, who would revolt against Emperor Hadrian. However, after 3.5 years the Romans eliminated the rebellion killing nearly 1 million Jews.
They deliberately rewrote history to their own liking!
When Bar Kokhba's was presented as the Messiah by Rabbi Akiba, at the beginning of his revolt it was A.D. 132 - about 4131 years from Adam. After A.D. 135 the scribes of the Seder HaDoroth changed the date back to 3892 - thus the 240 year difference which continues today.
To discredit the tale of Yeshua the Messiah they needed Bar Kokhba to appear to fulfill the 70th week of Daniel's prophecy. They claimed that the 3.5 years between A.D. 132 and A.D. 135 were the last 3.5 years of the 70 weeks of years (490 years).
But they made another mistake...
When they changed the date they ended up changing the beginning of the 70 week prophecy from 445 B.C. to around 356 B.C. The prophecy began with the decree to start rebuilding Jerusalem - which was fulfilled in 445 B.C. by King Artaxerxes officially giving Nehemiah orders to start reconstruction. The historical records during the time between Nehemiah and Alexander the Great are considered to be the least supplied by the scribes. Their new beginning date of 70 weeks is hidden in a historical fog. Rabbis today admit the error, but they do not press for official correction.
The correct Hebrew Calendar says it is now 5998 or 5999!
Messiah first manifested exactly 4000 years after Adam. What are you willing to wager that He will manifest again exactly 6000 years after Adam? Both arrivals were prophesied, in both cases the religious experts did not and do not recognize the times. There were only 6 days of work for the Creator to accomplish, then came a day of rest.
The scriptures say that our existence of a thousand years is like just one day to our Creator. 6000 years, or that 6th day is almost over.
Satan deceives the whole world!
Yes even the so called elect have been fooled. Satan has always meddled with the times of The L-rd's Feasts, the times and years, the Law and ordinances of the One True G-d, perverting them into worthless forms of idolatry. Today, the 'end times' seems to present nothing but confusion - and who is the author of confusion?
The first 4000 years
Adam to Flood (1656 years) Adding the ages of the fathers' at the time of birth of the stated son from Genesis 5: Adam 130, Seth 105, Enos 90, Cainan 70, Mahalaleel 65, Jared 162, Enoch 65, Methuselah 187, Lamech 182. Noah according to Gen. 7:6, is 600 at the flood.
Flood to Abraham (427 years) Adding the ages from Genesis 11. Shem 2, Arphaxad 35, Shelah 30, Eber 34, Peleg 30, Rue 32, Serug 30, Nahor 29. Terah lived 205 years.
Abraham to the Exodus (430 years), Galatians 3:17 "Now I say this; The Law of the Levitical Priesthood, which came into existence 430 years after the (Abrahamic) covenant was already ratified by Yahweh - does not do away with, nor abolish the promise. "
Exodus to Temple (480 years) 1 Kings 6:1 "In the 480th year after the children of Israel had come out of the land of Egypt, in the fourth year of Solomon's reign over Israel, in the moon Ziv; the second moon of the year - he began to build the House of Yahweh."

Nebuchadnezzer to Messiah (601 years) Jeremiah 25:1 Flavius Josephus
The historian gives evidence that the Babylonian exiles returned to Israel in 536 B.C. This would place the start of the 70 year captivity in 606-605 B.C.
1656 Years + 427 Years + 430 Years + 480 Years + 406 Years + 601 Years = 4,000 Years
We believe that there may be a misplacement of about 3 years in the chart above which is based on research by Larry Pahl - because of strong evidence of a 1 B.C. birth of Messiah rather than a 4 B.C. date. Since we have past 1997, the maximum limit for belief in a 4 B.C. date for Messiah's birth we have to look for where the error possibly occurred.
If we were to add the necessary 1009 leap days that 4000 years requires we could convert that to an additional 2.76 years. When that is added to 4 B.C. we get a date around the Feast of Tabernacles in 1 B.C. Either that or there is an error of almost 3 years somewhere before the reign of Nebuchadnezzer in the above chart.
(4000 / 4) + (4000 / 400) - (1) + (-4) = (-1.24)
Remember that A.D. 1.24 would be in Spring compared to 1.24 B.C. which would be in the Fall.
If this is plausible the birth of Messiah would be placed in 1 B.C. which is supported by the most credible evidence.
